The Landings Resort & Spa pledges to provide the highest level of protection and comfort to our guests.

To this end, our General Manager and C-19 Compliance Officers spearhead a comprehensive action plan geared towards monitoring day-to-day activities and ensuring constant reinforcement of social distancing and hygiene protocols, so as to protect the health of our guests and team members alike.

We continue to closely monitor and follow the guidelines and recommendations of the World Health authorities and that of Saint Lucia’s health officials by adhering to the latest Saint Lucia COVID restrictions.

Please note, both unvaccinated and fully vaccinated guests are permitted expanded access to the island. All guests are permitted to travel via COVID Certified transportation only.

  • All guests and vendors will be subject to temperature screening upon entry.

Hotel Lobby

  • Luggage will be disinfected.

  • Sneeze Guards will be installed. Lobby sitting will be socially distanced.

  • Kids club

    • The Landings Kids Club is available to children between the ages of 4 and 12.Every child/parent will be subject to temperature screening upon entry.
    • Team members and children will be required to sanitize/wash hands throughout the day and at the end of each activity.
    • Employees and adult guests will be required to wear face masks at all times.

    Pool & Beach

    • Pool, beach and recreation areas are currently available for use however availability may be determined by local health authorities.
    • Lounge chairs will be arranged to maximize space and promote physical distancing.
    • Sanitization areas/spray will be available for guest use.
    • Signage will be posted to promote physical distancing and to direct patrons to the cleaning stations.
    • The wearing of face masks will be discouraged for all water activities and is not mandatory due to the possibility of face masks posing a drowning hazard. Persons over the age of 15 may choose, however, to wear face masks if they prefer.

    Spa & Health

    • Spa and Health Club are currently available for use however availability may be determined by local health authorities.
    • Equipment will be arranged to maximize space between them to promote physical distancing.
    • Sanitization areas/spray and single use cloths for guest use to wipe gym equipment before and after each use.
    • Signage will be posted to promote physical distancing and to direct patrons to the cleaning stations.
    • Discontinuation of spa treatments which include touching of the face, nose.

    Public Areas

    • Employees and adult guests will be required to wear face masks at all times except while dining at the restaurants and at the pool/beach.
    • Furniture layout in these spaces will promote proper physical distancing.
    • High-touch surfaces and items will be disinfected frequently, including but not limited to counters, door handles, restroom faucets, handrails and elevator buttons.
    • Biodegradable, one-time-use paper towels will be available in restrooms, with hands free wastebaskets.
    • Hand sanitation stations will be available.

    Elevators

    • High-touch surfaces in elevators will be disinfected frequently.
    • Hand sanitation stations will be available. Elevator etiquette signage will be posted to promote physical distancing.

    Employee Personal Protective Equipment

    • All employees will adhere to hygiene standards at all times.
    • Employees will undergo continuous safety, health and hygiene training and will be required to sanitize hands frequently.
    • Wearing PPE (i.e. face coverings and gloves) as part of their uniform while at the hotel and executing their duties.

    What Medical Assistance is available?

    The resort will be equipped with a medical team composed of 2 licensed Registered Nurse to be stationed at the facility on a 12‐hour shift, and a Hotel Doctor on an on‐call basis. The Medical Unit will be able to provide 24 hours of medical support. The role of the nurse in the context of COVID‐19 will include working in tandem with the resort’s C19 Compliance Officers to ensure all Infection Prevention and Control guidelines are correctly implemented throughout the hotel, conducting regular checks on site to monitor the health status of both guests and employees through symptom screening and daily temperature checks.

    How are transfers operating?

    Guests will be accommodated according to the capacity of the vehicle; spaced out in adherence to all social distancing protocols. Our certified transportation provider will ensure constant sanitization of transportation to protect guest and driver. Visitors should ensure they utilize only taxis labelled with the COVID certified logo.

    Is check in manual / in room / automatic?

    Contact‐less, digital check‐in will be provided where possible.

    Will I need a Covid19 test upon arrival and departure?

    Guests of all ages (0+) will only be subject to additional testing and in suite quarantine upon arrival if they are symptomatic.

    What happens if a test is positive?

    If test result is positive for COVID‐19 upon entry to the island, the passenger will be transferred to the Respiratory Hospital for treatment and care at their cost.

    What happens if I develop an elevated temperature while at the resort?

    The temperature of each guest will be taken using a handheld thermometer, upon arrival. Any guest with an elevated temperature and/or visible symptoms will be documented and moved into the resort’s designated isolation room on the property for screening by the resident nurse/on‐call doctor. The Ministry of Health & Wellness will be contacted immediately, to begin the intake process if determined necessary by the resident nurse/on‐call doctor.

    Is there any hotel isolation in place?

    Yes. The resort is equipped with an isolation room.

    Do masks need to be used and where?

    Face masks must be worn in public areas except in restaurants, while dining and at the pool and beach/ocean.

    Is hand sanitizer and cleaning facilities readily available and in all public areas?

    Yes. Hand sanitizer will be placed throughout the hotel, in all public areas for guest use.

    Has room cleaning and services changed?

    Yes. No service will be provided to rooms housing persons in quarantine.
    Housekeeping personnel will not enter a guest’s room during their stay unless specifically requested or approved by management.
    Discontinuation of nightly or evening turndown service to facilitate minimal contact and entry into the guest room.
    All unused linen and other items in guest rooms will be bagged, sealed, and thoroughly cleaned/laundered before new guest accommodation.
    Hotel rooms will be left vacant between guest stays followed by a thorough cleaning. Particular attention will be given to high touch points including door handles, latches, light switches, desk surfaces, dining tables, telephones, televisions, remote controls, bathroom fixture handles and kitchen appliances.
    Upon completion of arrival room clean, only expected guest will be allowed entry.

    Are mini bars and in‐room facilities changed?

    All suites are furnished with refrigerators which can be stocked via our provisioning service prior to guest arrival.

    Are all restaurants functioning, if not what changes are there? What dining room rules are in place?

    Dedicated restaurants will be open for guest use and will follow physical distancing guidelines, which include operating at a lower capacity. Floor markers will also be placed to mark required physical distancing space while in the waiting/reception area.

    All self‐service buffets and bar operations will be discontinued. Shared services will be replaced by self‐service items such as condiments (ketchup, salt/pepper shakers, mustard, hot sauce), toothpicks, mints, matches or any other amenity. Hand sanitizer
    will be available in the entrance area and guests will be required to sanitize or wash their hands upon entrance to the restaurant.

    Face masks must be worn by all guests and may only be removed once they are seated. Larger groups of 6 to 10 will be encouraged to make reservations beforehand. All tables, chairs and bars, will be sanitized with alcohol‐based cleaner between use.

    The ability for guests to seat themselves will be discontinued and guests will be guided to seats in an effort to ensure distance is maintained.

    Is the Board basis the same, if not what has changed?

    Yes. We continue to offer Breakfast and All‐Inclusive packages.

    Do restaurant reservations need to be made pre‐arrival / on arrival?

    Groups of 6 to 10 (maximum) or more will be encouraged to make reservations upon arrival or 24 hours in advance of dining, using our Concierge app.

    Are all pools open / affected?

    All pools are open. Face masks are discouraged for all water activities due to the possibility of face masks posing a drowning hazard.

    Is pool time limited?

    No, however physical distancing will be enforced among children in the water.

    Are sunbeds distanced / cleaned after use?

    Yes, pool umbrellas/chairs will be configured to be at least 6 ft. from each other for physical distancing. All chairs/umbrellas will be sanitized after each guest/guest party use.

    Are pool towels available?

    Yes.

    Is poolside bars open / service available?

    Yes. Our restaurant staff will be happy to take your orders from the comfort of your pool chair.

    Is the beach open and services changed?

    Yes, the beach is open. Face masks are optional for adults on the beach and discouraged for children under 5 years of age. Pool umbrellas/chairs will be configured to be at least 6 ft. from each other for physical distancing. All chair/umbrella after each guest/guest party use, will be sanitized.

    Are gym and spa facilities available and what changes have been made?

    Our Spa remains available however the health club will remain closed to hotel guests however a variety of outdoor yoga, Pilates and aerobics classes, including water aerobics, will remain available. Physical distancing protocols will be in effect.

    Will the Kids Club be open and have the rules changed?

    Yes, physical distancing will be enforced.

    The temperature of each child will be taken upon arrival and those with an elevated
    temperature and/or visible symptoms will be documented and, in consultation with the parent or caregiver, moved into the isolation room on the property for screening by the resident nurse. The Saint Lucia Ministry of Health & Wellness will be contacted immediately to begin the intake process if determined necessary by the resident nurse/on‐call doctor.

    Each child will be required to sanitize or wash hands upon entry to the facility, throughout the day and after engagement with others. Employees and adult guests will be required to wear face masks, sanitize or wash hands at the end of each activity and at the end of each shift; and disinfect the playroom continuously throughout operating hours including toys, furniture, tv, remotes, doorknobs, phones, light switches etc.

    Parents or caregivers will be asked to remain at the entrance when dropping off and picking up the children to minimize contact with other children, employees and surfaces.

    Will the hotel still be offering excursions?

    All activities/excursions will be organized through the resort’s Concierge team, using ONLY certified tour operators until further notice.
