Discover Our Mountain Majesty

Talk show super-star Oprah Winfrey once said that St. Lucia's two majestic volcanic plugs, the fabled twin peaks of Gros Piton and Petit Piton, located south of Soufrière and situated in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are among the top ten things to have in your "bucket list." We couldn't agree more! Every time returning visitors see the Pitons, they often remark that it seems like they are seeing them for the first time, every sighting is mind-blowing. On a full-day excursion to the Pitons, you can hike all the way to the top, noticing everything from the orchids, the hummingbirds, the butterflies, the canopy of trees and one of the most spectacular views you will ever encounter.

Join Us for the Saint Lucia Carnival

July 03, 2017

Summer in Saint Lucia: the Caribbean sun warms the spirit, and the streets are alive with brilliantly costumed dancers moving to the sounds of Calypso and Soca music, and the rhythmic beating of steel drums. This annual month-long party springs from the island’s history and heritage; honoring its African and Catholic roots. Originally celebrated at the end of Lent, the Carnival’s festivities are now firmly entrenched as one of the island’s summer traditions, and it’s considered one of the most entertaining festivals in the Caribbean.

For those new to Carnival, you’ll need to work on your “wining;” which means rotating your hips while you move. After you’ve mastered this, you can truly party like a Saint Lucian as competing bands begin their dance down the streets of the city - you’ll be wining and shaking with the best of them. Save some energy for a few of the official band parties, and don’t miss the parade of the bands on July 17th and July 18th. Carnival will last through July 18, and will be a non-stop party. Don’t miss it!
