Discover Our Mountain Majesty

Talk show super-star Oprah Winfrey once said that St. Lucia's two majestic volcanic plugs, the fabled twin peaks of Gros Piton and Petit Piton, located south of Soufrière and situated in a UNESCO World Heritage Site, are among the top ten things to have in your "bucket list." We couldn't agree more! Every time returning visitors see the Pitons, they often remark that it seems like they are seeing them for the first time, every sighting is mind-blowing. On a full-day excursion to the Pitons, you can hike all the way to the top, noticing everything from the orchids, the hummingbirds, the butterflies, the canopy of trees and one of the most spectacular views you will ever encounter.

Come for the Yacht Race and Stay for Christmas

December 01, 2016

Join us at The Landings Resort and Spa as we welcome the winners of the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers (ARC), an annual transatlantic sailing competition. Formed in 1986, the ARC is limited to racer and cruiser yachts. It begins at the end of every November in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, and treks westward from the Atlantic to the Caribbean before arriving at the finish line here in St. Lucia.

The 2,700-nautical-miles route is undertaken by sailors of all ages and levels of experience, and is the biggest transoceanic event in the world. The race usually attracts over 200 crafts of all sizes and shapes, and, depending on trade winds, takes between 14 and 21 days to complete. Most boats arrive at Rodney Bay from December 7-12, but the finish line doesn’t close until December 16. All boats and their crews are warmly welcomed, no matter when they arrive, with fresh fruit, rum punches and cold beer.
